The tools on this site are offered free of charge for general utility purposes. Please read the following carefully, particularly the sections about tokens and hashes.

1. No warranty

The tools are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. While every effort is made to keep output accurate, we do not guarantee that any result is error-free or fit for a particular purpose. You use them entirely at your own risk.

2. Verify anything consequential

Always confirm important results through an independent source before relying on them. This is especially true for output used in security decisions, financial calculations, legal documents or production deployments. A convenience tool is not an authority.

3. Tokens are decoded, never verified

The JWT Decoder reads the header and payload of a token and reports what those claims say. It does not verify the cryptographic signature, because verification requires a secret or public key that never leaves your infrastructure.

A decoded and validated-looking token proves nothing on its own. Anyone can hand-craft a token with alg: none and any claims they like. Never use this tool as evidence that a token is authentic — always verify signatures inside your own backend.

4. Broken hash algorithms

MD5 and SHA-1 are included for compatibility with legacy systems and for non-security checksum use. Both are cryptographically broken: practical collision attacks against them are public knowledge. Do not use either for passwords, signatures, or any security-sensitive purpose.

Passwords in particular require a dedicated slow key-derivation function — bcrypt, scrypt or Argon2 — rather than a fast hash, no matter which algorithm you pick.

5. Not professional advice

Nothing here constitutes legal, financial, medical or security advice. Content is informational and aimed at working developers who can judge their own context.

6. Third-party content

External links are provided for convenience. We do not control the destination sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability.

7. Availability

We do not promise uninterrupted availability. Tools may change, gain features, or be withdrawn. Because each tool runs locally in your browser, no downtime affects work you have already done.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, including loss of data or profits, arising from use of or inability to use this site.
